Academic Probation

Students whose cumulative grade point average remains below 2.0 for a second semester are placed on academic probation. and are sent an academic probation letter after the grade review process has been completed. Academic probation is reflected on the student’s transcript. The academic probation letter encourages students to take advantage of campus resources to improve their performance and provides guidance on how to do so. Students on academic probation are required to earn a semester grade point average of 2.0 or higher to avoid academic suspension. Students earning a semester grade point average of 2.0 or higher in their first semester of probation whose cumulative grade point average remains below 2.0 are permitted a second semester of probation to bring their cumulative grade point average to a 2.0 or higher. Students in academic probation status are restored to good academic standing when their cumulative grade point average returns to a 2.0 or higher on all undergraduate level work attempted at Stevenson University.
