NURS 418 Nursing Research in Professional Practice

Exposes learners to the nursing research process and advancing the nursing profession through scientific inquiry and the development of nursing knowledge. Varied research methods related to data collection and analysis and human subjects protection are explored by critically evaluating nursing research studies. Synthesis, interpretation, application, translation, and dissemination of nursing research are examined in relationship to evidence-based nursing practice. Emphasizes leveraging nursing research to re-shape healthcare delivery and advance the health of individuals, populations, and communities. Restricted to NURS majors. Repeatable for credit.
