NURS 416 Concepts of Professional Nursing Practice II
Explores the caring concepts and values of autonomy, altruism, and social justice and their integration into the practice setting. This course builds on
NURS 316 by developing a personal nursing philosophy and mission statement for practice. Students will discover the impact of sociopolitical, economic, ethical, and regulatory processes on the health care system and the nursing role. Students will participate as an active member of the profession through a project focused on healthcare advocacy and apply critical thinking and communication skills in collaboration with peers in the analysis of forces that impact the health care environment.
