PSY 811 Basic Practicum I

Provides students with clinical experience through a practicum placement focusing on assessment. This is the first course in the Basic Practicum sequence. The exact nature of Basic Practicum 1 is determined in conjunction with the placement setting, but will include assessment and other professional activities appropriate to the student’s level of training. On-site supervision is provided by the practicum setting. All students enrolled in PSY 811 will be concurrently enrolled in PSY 780, Case Consultation. Students are independently responsible for paying required fees, including subscription fees for a clinical hour tracking system; APA student membership dues; and background check fees. Other fees related to individual placement sites, such as parking costs, may also be required.  Repeatable for credit.
