Stevenson University Annual Scholarship Funds

Students will be reviewed and considered for funds based upon specified criteria below. See Stevenson University Scholarship and Grant Programs for more information.

The Accounting Association Scholarship is awarded to full-time junior or senior accounting majors who have completed at least 45 credit hours as of Jan. 1, have a minimum 3.0 GPA overall and within the major, and demonstrate involvement in community service or extracurricular activities. This is a scholarship competition. Students must complete the application process, be selected as a finalist, research an assigned topic to present to a panel of judges, and be selected as a winner by that panel.

The Alumni Association Scholarship Fund is awarded to a full-time undergraduate rising junior student with financial need and involved in the University’s clubs, organizations, community service and/or employed part-time during their time of study. Preference is given to a recipient willing to serve as a student representative on the Alumni Association Board.

The Asset Strategy Consultants Annual Scholarship is awarded to a deserving student with financial need.

Associated Italian American Charities of Maryland, Inc. (AIAC) offers various scholarships funded by members/organizations associated with the AIAC for students of Italian descent in good academic standing with financial need. AIAC provides an application for each scholarship and qualified students are invited to apply.

The Bareham, CPA, PA Annual Scholarship is awarded to a full-time undergraduate accounting major who is a sophomore, junior, or senior with financial need and good academic standing. Preference will be given to female students of non-traditional age whenever possible.

The BGE Annual Scholarship is awarded to five (5) rising sophomore, junior or senior undergraduate students who are Maryland residents with demonstrated financial need, and a 2.8 or higher GPA. Preference given to STEM majors (preferably engineering, mathematics/statistics, or data sciences) and a secondary preference may be given to finance, accounting, and business majors. Recipients must understand and agree to BGE recipient expectations.

The Brown School of Business and Leadership Dean’s Scholarship is awarded to a full-time undergraduate rising senior student with a major in the Brown School of Business and Leadership who will spend their full senior year (two semesters) at Stevenson, with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

The Chrzan Real Estate Annual Scholarship is awarded to a full-time undergraduate student from an underrepresented background pursuing a real estate professional minor, with financial need and a minimum 2.5 GPA.

The Clearview Group Annual Scholarship is awarded to a full time rising junior or senior in the accounting program preferably with a career interest in public accounting or consulting, with demonstrated financial need, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and actively participate in at least one extracurricular activity.

The Jo-Anna Conrey ’62 ’86 ’92 Annual Scholarship is awarded to a first generation full-time undergraduate student with financial need. Preference will be given to incoming freshman and minority students.

The Lisa Dobbs Derryberry '77 Scholarship is awarded to a full-time undergraduate student with financial need, pursuing a major in the School of Business with a minimum 2.5 GPA.

The Linda Connolly Fenton Annual Scholarship in Nursing is awarded to students in the nursing program with financial need and academic achievement.

The R.H. Fewster Painting Annual Scholarship is awarded to a full-time undergraduate student with financial need and a minimum 3.0 GPA. 

The Frankel Sims Law Emergency Scholarship is awarded to junior or senior students who fall short of funding to return to Stevenson for their studies.

The Judith A Fuestle, SCD, RN Scholarship is awarded to a full time undergraduate rising sophomore student enrolled in the traditional nursing program with demonstrated financial need and a minimum 3.2 GPA. Preference will be given to first-generation collegians.

The Dr. Gerald and Carole '85 Glowacki Annual Scholarship for Science and Mathematics Education is awarded to a rising junior with financial need and minimum 3.5 GPA majoring in middle school education with a concentration in math and science.

The Gross Mendelsohn Annual Scholarship is awarded to a full time undergraduate junior or senior accounting major with financial need and a minimum 3.0 GPA. Scholarship will be awarded to a student one-time.

The HCF&L Annual Scholarship is awarded to a full-time undergraduate sophomore, junior or senior student majoring in accounting, with financial need and minimum 3.0 GPA.

The Herbert J. and Martha Ginn Hoelter Scholarship is awarded to a full-time undergraduate student majoring in criminal justice, with financial need, and a minimum 2.5 GPA.

The Susan Fisher Humphries ‘70 Annual Scholarship for Future Educators is awarded to a full-time undergraduate student pursuing a degree in early childhood, elementary or middle school education, with financial need and a minimum 3.0 GPA.

The Ebony Hypolite '06 Annual Scholarship is awarded to a full-time undergraduate junior or senior student with a minimum 3.5 GPA, significant involvement in community service, and financial need.

The Diane Jacobs Scholarship is awarded to financially needy students who have overcome personal challenges to continue their education.

The Brenda Bowe Johnson, Ph.D. Scholarship for Women in Science is awarded to a full time female undergraduate student with demonstrated financial need, majoring in biology, chemistry or biochemistry with a minimum 2.5 GPA.

The Deborah J. Leather Business Administration Academic Leadership Scholarship is awarded to a full-time sophomore or junior year student pursing a degree in business administration who has demonstrated exceptional academic leadership.

The Legacy Search Advisors Scholarship is awarded to full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the accounting program with financial need and a minimum 3.0 GPA. Must have demonstrated experience in the accounting field through a full-time, part-time or internship position.

The Loats Foundation Annual Scholarship is awarded to a full-time undergraduate student who is a resident of Frederick County, Maryland.   Preference will be given to an orphan or member of a single family household with financial need, pursuing a degree in public service, and a minimum 3.0 GPA.

The Bradley and Shirley MacDonald Annual Scholarship is awarded to full-time sophomores, juniors, or seniors with financial need and a GPA between 2.0 and 3.0; focus should be on students who are dedicated, hardworking, and have overcome obstacles to achieve success.

The Whitley A. Mayo Scholarship for Minority Women in Forensic Science is awarded to a full-time, African American female student who is on track to complete the Master of Forensic Science program by the end of the academic year in which the student receives the scholarship. Must be a Maryland resident with financial need and a minimum 3.0 GPA.

The MedStar SNAP Scholarship or MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center Nursing Scholarship is awarded to a senior nursing student who wishes to participate in a practicum at Franklin Square Medical Center. Recipients must complete a competitive application and interview process and agree to a two-year employment commitment at Franklin Square Medical Center.

The Claire Moore Scholarship Fund is awarded to a full-time undergraduate rising senior student with financial need, minimum 3.0 GPA, involved in University clubs, organizations or athletics.

The Mount Royal Printing & Communications Annual Scholarship is awarded to a full-time undergraduate student with financial need, good academic standing, and a major within the School of Design, Arts, and Communication.

The Sheela Murthy and Vasant Nayak Scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior student majoring in legal studies, with financial need, a minimum 3.0 GPA, and a demonstrated strong work ethic.

The Karen Parrotte Nursing Scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate nursing student attending part-time or full-time who is a non-traditional student (working full-time or an adult student returning to school to pursue or complete their degree) of African American/Black ethnicity, with a minimum 3.0 GPA and financial need.

The PMM Companies Annual Scholarship provides one or more need-based scholarships.

The RCM&D Foundation Scholarship is awarded to a deserving student pursuing a major in the School of Business.

The Herman and Walter Samuelson Foundation Scholarship for Nursing is awarded to nursing students. Recipients must complete a competitive application and interview process and agree to an employment commitment at Sinai Hospital.

The Paul Mark and Peggie Sandler Legal Studies Scholarship is awarded to a full-time undergraduate junior or senior student in the legal studies program with financial need and a minimum 3.0 GPA

The Sandy Springs Bank Annual Scholarship is awarded to a deserving student with financial need.

The Eugene and Jeanne Savage Scholarship is awarded to two full time undergraduate students from each class year with demonstrated financial need, a minimum 3.0 GPA, with preference given to students with participation in service activities.

The Jason Schneider Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a Maryland resident enrolled as full-time undergraduate student in the Criminal Justice program with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

The Dennis Starliper Annual Scholarship is awarded to a full time undergraduate student enrolled in the finance track of the university’s accounting or business administration degree program, with demonstrated financial need and minimum 3.0 GPA.

The James and Jacqueline Stradtner Annual Scholarship for Early Childhood Education is awarded to a full-time undergraduate student with financial need, a minimum 3.0 GPA, and a resident of the State of Maryland who is pursuing a degree in early childhood education.

The James and Jacqueline Stradtner Sisters Academy Annual Scholarship is awarded to a student graduating from the Sisters Academy of Baltimore with financial need and entering the freshman class at Stevenson.

The Stephanie Giles Suit '05 Scholarship is awarded to full-time undergraduate students pursuing a degree within the Beverly K. Fine School of the Sciences or a degree in medical laboratory science with financial need and a minimum 3.0 GPA.

The Thomas K. Swisher Annual Scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior underprivileged student of promise, majoring in counseling and human services with financial need, and a minimum 2.75 GPA. Must be a member of a minority or underrepresented ethnicity.

The Judith Waranch Annual Scholarship is awarded to a female full-time undergraduate sophomore, junior or senior student with financial need and minimum 2.5 GPA. Recipient must demonstrate a commitment to community activism and problem solving through past and/or current actions, in addition to future ambitions.

The E. C. Wareheim Foundation Scholarship Award is awarded to deserving students with financial need.

The Marcella Wood Annual Scholarship is awarded to a full-time undergraduate student with financial need and a minimum 2.5 GPA. Preference will be given to a female student and a student involved in supporting charitable causes.

The Young Forever Annual Scholarship is awarded to a full-time undergraduate student with financial need and a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to an incoming freshmen student.
