HCM 311 Health Insurance and Managed Care

Introduces students to the workings of health insurance and managed care within the American health care system. Explores determinants and measurement of health and disease, including epidemiology, public health, health promotion and disease prevention and their utilization in health insurance and managed care. Issues in health insurance and managed care will be analyzed through case studies and real world examples. (Pending review by the Academic Affairs Committee.)
