Academic Probation

Students in academic warning status whose cumulative grade point average remains below 2.0 are placed on academic probation the following semester. Academic probation status is reflected on the transcript. Students receive an academic probation notification letter after the grade review process has been completed. The academic probation notice encourages students to take appropriate action to improve their performance and provides guidance and requirements on how to do so. Students on academic probation are required to earn a semester grade point average of 2.0 or higher. Students earning a semester grade point average of 2.0 or higher in their first semester of probation whose cumulative grade point average remains below 2.0 are permitted a second semester of probation to bring their cumulative grade point average to a 2.0 or higher. Students in academic probation status are restored to good academic standing when their cumulative grade point average returns to a 2.0 or higher on all undergraduate level work attempted at Stevenson University.
