BME 320 Clinical Immersion

Provides the opportunity for students to build the observational, communication, and ethnographic research skills necessary to identify and document unmet clinical needs. Students are introduced to the clinical environment through collaborative exercises with health professions majors. Clinical immersion/rotations place students with healthcare professionals to observe and identify opportunities to improve healthcare. Emphasis is placed on researching and identifying clinical needs, developing formal product development proposals, and presenting them for selection and approval as capstone design projects.
