PHOTO 140 Experimental Analog Photography

Introduces students to analog photography emphasizing film photography, silver darkroom, and non-silver photographic processes. Students will learn historic photographic methods from the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as manual camera controls, chemical processing, and darkroom printing. The class will explore various approaches to photographic image making, with an emphasis on experimentation and refinement of technical and aesthetic skills. Students will need to purchase supplies/materials for this course.
