LAW 302 Pre-Law Seminar

Provides students with assistance preparing for law school and the law school application process. Students will learn how to research prospective law schools and meet law school recruiters. Students will understand the application process and the role of the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) in law school admissions. Students will study the types of questions on the Law School Admission Test (LSAT), practice by taking simulated LSAT examinations, and compare commercial LSAT preparation courses that are available. Students will draft personal statements for inclusion in their law school applications. Students will experience a "mock" law school class where they prepare case briefs as homework and the instructor uses the Socratic method to conduct class. Restricted to legal studies majors.
