SCI 302 Pre-Med Seminar

Provides students with assistance in preparing for the medical school application process, optimizing preparation for the MCAT exam, and completing written statements required for medical school admission. Students will be provided with resources to allow them to research the requirements for various medical schools, how to evaluate their competitiveness for individual medical schools, and how to build a prospective application list for an upcoming application cycle based on their individual profiles. Students will prepare documents to be included in their medical school applications, including personal statements and sample secondary application responses. The course will also assist students in preparing for the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) through development of a full study plan based on their individual needs, review of the content and study the types of questions on the MCAT, and taking practice MCAT examinations.
