NURS 355 Approaches to Clinical Judgment and Application to Nursing

Employs a problem-solving approach to help students prepare for success on the National Council Licensure Examination for registered nurses (NCLEX-RN). Faculty guided instruction and self-directed learning are coupled to build upon students’ prior learning in nursing major courses and assist students with synthesizing nursing knowledge to prepare for the rigorous requirements of obtaining licensure as registered nurses. Students engage in increasingly challenging learning experiences, including diagnostic testing, focused content review and case studies, test-taking strategies, and simulated NCLEX-RN quizzes and exams.
