FMER 210 Fashion and Culture

Examines the role of dress, the body, and fashion in culture, both historically and in contemporary society. This course focuses on the meanings that individuals assign to dress and the theories that relate to social and cognitive reasons for using dress as a means of communication. Specific focus will be given to gender, age, status, ethnicity, role, and influences in society today. This course is IKC-certified.
