The Stevenson Career Connection

Since Stevenson University’s founding, connecting students to a meaningful career has been at the heart of our mission.

Through classroom instruction, experiential learning, and professional preparation, Stevenson fosters each student’s development, readying them for their career and setting the stage for their success after college.  A network of individuals including student success coaches, career advisors, faculty mentors, and internship coordinators provide supporting along the way, helping students stay on track and meet their goals during each year at Stevenson.

Freshman and sophomore years focus on foundational experiences and career exploration. Students are introduced to career options tied to their desired path of study through career-focused first-year seminars, foundational courses in their majors, pre-professional courses, and workshops offered by the Stevenson Career Connection Center.

In their junior and senior years, students put experience into practice through upper-level coursework, required internships in each major, and Professional Minors that can be added to their majors to acquire additional career competencies. Career fairs and on-campus recruiting, networking opportunities, mock interviews, employer site visits, and mentoring organized through the Stevenson Career Connection Center prepare our students for their job searches and interviews as they establish their professional brand.

Stevenson’s focus on career helps our students create strong paths to their post-college careers. The evidence is in our most recent graduating student data—the data shows an impressive 94 percent of Stevenson graduates are employed or are pursuing further education within six months of graduation.
