NURS 547 Global Health Perspectives
Focuses on global health issues, including global determinants of health, global health policies, global health research methods, effects of economics on global healthcare, complementary and alternative medicine, and the role of global health organizations. Students will Course Proposal_SEE Certification Form Academic Affairs Rev. 08/18/23; Page 2 consider the impact of global health issues such as infectious diseases, chronic diseases, cancer, violence, nutrition, mental health, environmental health, reproductive health, infant/child health, health disparities, health equity, cultural competence, and vulnerable populations. Students will apply their knowledge in a practice setting. Repeatable for credit.
