ENG 115 Introduction to Literature

Introduces students to fundamentals of literary analysis through close readings and interpretations in various genres such as poetry, fiction, drama, and creative nonfiction. Students will use evidence from the texts to support individual interpretations of literature by describing narrative and thematic content, recognizing literary elements and patterns within the text, identifying ambiguities, and differentiating implications.
