Requirements for the Bachelor's Degree
The University offers bachelor’s degrees in the following 31 disciplines: accounting, applied mathematics; biochemistry; biology; biomedical engineering, business administration; business communication; chemistry; communication studies, computer information systems; counseling and human services, criminal justice; cybersecurity and digital forensics; early childhood education: liberal arts and technology; elementary education: liberal arts and technology; English language and literature; environmental science; fashion design; fashion merchandising; film and moving image; graphic design; Healthcare management; history; interdisciplinary studies; legal studies; marketing; medical laboratory science; middle school education: liberal arts and technology (with a concentration in English/Language Arts and Social Studies or Mathematics and Science); nursing; psychology; and theatre and media performance.
Stevenson University also offers accelerated bachelor’s degree programs for adult learners through Stevenson University Online. In order to obtain a bachelor’s degree from Stevenson University, a student must:
- Earn a minimum of 120 credits, which must include a minimum of 15 credits at the 300- or 400- level.
- Complete the SEE requirements.
- Complete the courses required by the major. Note – Grades of "I" (Incomplete) must be cleared from the student’s record.
- Complete INT 100: Principles of Academic Integrity.
- Achieve a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.00; the GPA is calculated on the basis of work done at Stevenson University only.
- Earn a minimum cumulative GPA in the major of 2.00 or higher. Some majors have additional GPA requirements; please consult the "Fields of Study" section for specific requirements.
- Earn at least 30 credits at Stevenson University, which must include a minimum of 15 credits at the 300- or 400- level.
- If completing a BA degree, a student must complete two semesters of a foreign language from the point of placement or complete the 202-level of a foreign language.
- Comply with all policies, procedures, and regulations of the University.
- Submit the official Application for Graduation in accordance with published deadlines.
