SVC 101 Foundations of Service-Learning

Introduces students to service-learning through active engagement in planning, implementing, and evaluating their service experiences. Students will learn research-based approaches to service-learning while making connections between and across the curriculum, analyzing personal and professional goals, and exploring individual career paths. Students will apply their learning beyond the classroom and creatively address problems facing their communities, the nation, and the world. This course will provide students with the theoretical underpinnings of service-learning and help prepare them for the subsequent discipline-specific service-learning classes. Pass/Fail Grading
