MATH 314 Biostatistics

Focuses on the application of descriptive and inferential statistics and data analysis to biomedical research and device development. Topics include probability distributions, hypothesis testing, design of experiments, clinical trial design, data science and bioinformatics. Ethical issues and patient protections in trial design, execution, data monitoring, analysis, and publication will also be covered. Use of statistical and data analysis software will be emphasized.
