ENG 153 Honors Writing Seminar

Strengthens the ability to write clear, coherent, and well-developed expository arguments in response to literary texts. This course requires close reading of poetry, drama, and fiction texts that display a range of cultures, identities, and perspectives, and includes instruction and practice in research methods. Writing assignments emphasize critical thinking and analysis, asking students to read and respond to literary texts in various contexts including historical events, ethical issues, and social movements. Note: Restricted to students in the Honors Program.
