Minor in Computer Science
The academic minor in Computer Science requires successful completion of six courses (at least 18 credit hours). These courses must include:
1. IS 150 Relational Database Design and SQL
2. IS 240 Computer Programming I
3. IS 241 Computer Programming II
4. MATH 220 Calculus I
5. MATH 230 Discrete Structures
6. MATH 326 Linear Algebra
Up to two of the above courses can overlap between a student’s major and this minor. In cases when more than
two of the above minor courses overlap with a major, students must take additional courses towards this minor
from the following list:
• IS 330 Business Applications Programming
• IS 444 Mobile Applications Development
• MATH 425 Scientific Computer Programming
• MATH 442 Numerical Analysis
