Students enrolled in the traditional program will participate in laboratories that use a specimen approach to the study of diagnostic microbiology and are designed to simulate a clinical microbiology laboratory experience by having students work with simulated patient cultures.  Students enrolled in the online MLS Program will participate in a comprehensive review of clinical microbiology principles with emphasis placed on the laboratory procedures for isolating, culturing and identifying microorganisms.  Fundamental microbiology, epidemiology and pathogenesis are included as appropriate.
