Certificate Description
The Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Crime Scene Investigation is designed to prepare students with the skills to evaluate crime scenes and select the appropriate steps to be followed in documenting, collecting, preserving, and processing evidence. This post-baccalaureate certificate trains professionals to process forensic evidence and report their findings in an ethical manner for the purpose of effectively communicating those findings in a courtroom setting. Certificate Outcomes
Upon completion of the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Crime Scene Investigation, recipients will be able to:
- Process forensic evidence and report findings in an ethical manner.
- Communicate those findings in both written and oral formats.
- Apply the quality assurance, quality control and safety requirements used in accredited forensic science laboratories.
- Evaluate crime scenes and select the appropriate steps to be followed in documenting, collective, preserving and processing evidence.
Required Courses
