GDES 410 Portfolio & Professional Development
Prepares students for entry into the graphic design profession or related field. Students study the professional standards and practices shared by all areas of graphic design and integrate best practices relevant to their motivated strengths, career interests, life values, and stated short- and long-term goals. Students create meaningful and engaging professional identity materials including appropriate portfolios of examples that represent their abilities and experience in multiple contexts and formats. A series of workshops are included to help students navigate the first 3-5 years of professional work life. Evaluation culminates with a review from a professional round table. Students will need to purchase supplies/materials for this course.
