BME 440 Special Topics in Biomedical Engineering
Examines the latest developments in the field of biomedical engineering, including medical devices and diagnostics. A case study approach is used with students doing in-depth research on the technological foundation, intended use, and competitive landscape for each device using a combination of primary and secondary sources. Student presentations and written reports are required. Topics rotate each semester to address recent advances. This course may be repeated for credit if topics are different.
